The Rose - Painting and Ritual

The Queen of flowers has been used in healing and ritual across every culture all over the world for thousands of years - as well as a continued subject in art.

Join a small group for a drawing and painting class that will bring you a reflective experience, deeper your understanding of her language of form, and bring your artwork alive with her essence. 

You will be led through a ritual using the flowers. Combined with particular drawing skills that enable wider observation and perception this will inform your art work as much as your emotions or consciousness. Taking the time to draw the Rose will enable you to create a lasting memory and inner experience unique to your own meeting with the Rose on this day.

Bring a bunch of Roses, roses for drawing (or you can also sit next to a rose bush and paint outside if you can get zoom there).

Roses ideally are from the garden, or locally grown, wild or from an organic flower farm.

(You don’t want Roses with commercial chemicals sprayed on them)

We will be working with drawing materials, and watercolour
